Team synopsis: The expansion New York Yanks have Anthony Tangorra guiding their fortunes. The first choice for the Yanks in the Expansion Draft was a home run as they made Aaron Rodgers the cornerstone pick for the team. Anthony didn't ignore drafting the defensive side as he landed some nice pieces like Cullen Jenkins, Casey Hampton, Bret Keisel and Calvin Pace. New York looks like a team ready to make a serious run from day one, opponents better have their chinstraps on tight and be ready for a fight when they take on the Yanks in 2011.
Despite a 13-3 record, a late season loss to Seattle caused New York to drop to the third seed in the Frozen Tundra playoffs. This is still pretty lofty stuff for a first year team. The Yanks 4th quarter game against Houston was our F.T. Quarter 4 featured game. With the big right arm of Aaron Rodgers the Yanks freely aired out the ball. The New York receiving collective consisted of: Mike A.Williams, Steve L. Smith, Malcolm Floyd, Aaron Hernandez and Anthony Fasano. Hernandez finished second in the league with his 105 receptions and Williams was first in receiving yards with 1227. With so many inviting targets it was a pick your poison guessing game for opposing defenses. Then you had the 1000 yard rushing of Michael Bush to contend with. However, one bit of comfort is that Rodgers wasn't infallible as 22 of his tosses ended up in the hands of defenders. The Yanks also have plenty of depth on defense so it's not simply a matter of getting into a run and gun offensive game with them. Defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins led the team with 6 sacks and defensive back Leon Hall had a team high 5 interceptions. The team is dangerous and primed for the playoffs. Yankees offensive leaders:

OKLAHOMA OUTLAWS

Team synopsis: The Outlaws under Wayne Unruh needed one win to be .500 in 2010, but they are aiming a little higher for the 2011 season. Ben Roethlisberger has the play calling duties and that's a solid place to start. Joining Ben in the backfield is HB Frank Gore. Frank is a two time Pro-Bowl pick out of Miami and his constant threat to break long runs opens up targets for "Big Ben". The Outlaws have great bookend pass rushers with Trent Cole and Charles Johnson along with a shut down Cornerback in Quentin Jammer. Both the Defense and Offense are balanced and possess the talent to help the Outlaws to a winning season in 2011.Oklahoma lost their first two games on the schedule before narrowly beating New Orleans for their first win. From that point they never looked back as the Outlaws won 14 games in a row and are the number one seed in the playoffs. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is the leader of this team finishing the season with the highest QB rating in the Frozen Tundra. Roethlisberger finished the regular season with a tremendous 33/9 T.D./Int. ratio. Big Ben's number one target is Nate Washington and it's a combination that burned much of the league. Washington led the league averaging 18.5 yards per catch which is first among qualified receivers. Washington also was first among receivers with his 17 touchdown grabs. Running back Frank Gore eclipsed the 1000 yard mark in rushing. The defense has allowed the second fewest points per game. Defensive End Trent Cole continues to do what he does best, put pressure on the quarterback. Trent finished with 13 sacks tied him for third in the league. The Oklahoma defense picked off 25 passes and returned four of those picks for touchdowns. Outlaws offensive leaders:
