Seattle Seahawks
Team synopsis: One of the "Expansion Eight" added to the Frozen Tundra, Seattle is coached by Dennis Crowley. Dennis made the decision to begin his franchise with a defensive stalwart and found a good one in Clay Mathews. Mathews is about as disruptive as a defensive player can be. Named to the Pro Bowl in his first two years in the NFL, Mathews was chosen as a First Team All-Pro in 2010. Clay is a great young player with many years ahead of him...unfortunately for the rest of the FT. Seattle's bookend linebacker is Tamba Hali. Tamba was a first round pick in 2006 and is beginning to get the recognition that he deserves. Hali was second in the NFL in sacks in 2010 and along with Mathews is a formidable tandem to have to deal with. The Seahawks also own a guy named Manning but for now we won't even go into his line of credits.
The Seattle Seahawks swept their fourth quarter of games to finish 12-3-1 and earned the number three seed for the playoffs. The Seahawks defense allowed the third fewest points and finished first in the league in Sacks with 54. Linebacker Clay Matthews was the Frozen Tundra sack leader with 16 individual sacks and teammate Tamba Hali is tied for third with 13. On offense QB Peyton Manning has provided solid play with a TD/Int. ratio of 29/18. The running back corps featured the one-two punch of Brad Smith and Brandon Jacobs who combined for over 1600 yards. Michael Robinson added another 400 yards as Seattle out rushed their opponents by over 300 yards. Vernon Davis leads in receptions and receiving yards, while Hakeem Nicks heads the team with 14 TD's and over 1000 receiving yards. The other W.R. Marques Colston pulled in 60 receptions. Combined the Seattle offense and defense are diverse and potent units. And by the way, Brad Smith also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns! Seahawks offensive leaders:

San Francisco 49ers
Team synopsis: The Niners are one of the old guard in the Frozen Tundra, finishing runner up in the 2010 season. David Pactor has assembled a great squad. On the offensive side of the ball the 49ers have 5 time Pro-Bowl QB Drew Brees. Drew was the NFL's 2009 Super Bowl MVP and is one of the most feared passers in the game today. When San Francisco wants to run the ball, Ray Rice is a constant threat with the ball in his hands. Along with Brees, Rice was a 2009 Pro-Bowl selection. On the defensive side the 49ers have Patrick Willis at Linebacker. Patrick is a 4 time Pro-Bowler, three times chosen as 1st Team All-Pro. On the Defensive Line San Francisco has Dwight Freeney and John Abraham and combined with all their other tools the Niners are one giant headache to play.
San Francisco finished the regular season with a 14-2 record and are the number two seed for the playoffs. Quarterback Drew Brees may have thrown a few more interceptions than he would like, but there was a big payoff for his aggressiveness. Brees led the league in Completion %, Passing Yards and Touchdowns.. Halfback Ray Rice is again a 1000 yard rusher and actually led the team in pass receptions. Combining rushing and receiving Rice accounted for over 2000 yards and 14 touchdowns. In the passing game it seems like Brees finds a new favorite receiver every game. TE's Antonio Gates 75 and Joel Dreessen 72 catches received the most targets among the receivers. WR Brandon Lloyd lead the team with 16 TD's. WR Mike Wallace has added 7 TD's and has the highest YPC on the team with a 25.0 average. The San Francisco defense allowed the fewest points in the league. John Abraham's 12 sacks led the Forty Niners and he was among the league leaders in that category. Outside linebacker Patrick Willis has contributed with 4 fumble recoveries and 4 sacks. Kicker David Akers converted 90% of his field goal attempts. San Francisco has legitimate Championship aspirations as they head into the Frozen Tundra playoffs. Forty Niners offensive leaders:
