Washington Redskins

Team synopsis: The Washington Redskins are coached by George Torres and are led by the number one selection in the Expansion Draft, Quarterback Philip Rivers. Rivers is a 3 time Pro-Bowl selection and in 2010 led the NFL in Passing Yards. On the defensive side of the ball the 'Skins are anchored by MLB Ray Lewis. Lewis has been named to an amazing total of 12 Pro-Bowls and is still playing at an extremely high level. Ray has been selected 1st Team All-Pro seven times and in 2000 and 2003 Lewis was the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and the 2000 Super Bowl MVP.
The Redskins finished their first season with a 7-9 record. Quarterback Philip Rivers had a solid season finishing with a very respectable 26/16 T.D. to Int. ratio. Washington's running game was solid as Knowshon Moreno and backup Justin Forsett both averaged 4.7 yards per carry and combined for over 1500 yards. WR Steve Johnson finished among the league leaders with his 85 receptions. Meanwhile TE Marcedes Lewis leads the team in touchdown receptions with nine. The Redskins defense played solidly all season, allowing under 20 points per game. FS Chris Crocker and CB Sam Shields lead the team with five and four interceptions respectively. Middle linebacker Ray Lewis continued his career long solid play by leading the team with 112 tackles. In most team categories you can find Washington in the middle of the pack and accordingly they have been in a lot of close games. Washington did a lot of things well in their first season. With Philip Rivers at the helm and a few tweaks on both sides of the ball the 'Skins should be contending for the playoffs next season. Redskins offensive leaders:

Winnepeg Blue Blombers

Team synopsis: The Blue Bombers are coached by Frank Renbarger and their first selection in the Expansion Draft was Quarterback Michael Vick. Vick's off-field story is well known but he has let his actions on the playing field do his talking for him since joining Philadelphia in 2010. In 2010 Vick was elected the NFL Comeback Player of the Year. With a football in his hand he is a constant threat and makes game planning a nightmare for Defensive Coaches. Michael Vick is joined in the backfield by Fred Jackson. From little known Coe College, Jackson is emerging in 2011 as one of the best Halfbacks in the NFL. He's currently among the NFL league leaders in Rushing Yards and Rushing TD's. Jackson is also a threat receiving the ball, which only adds to the formidable task of stopping the Blue Bombers.

Quarterback Michael Vick accounted for 30 Winnipeg touchdowns and as the season progressed Vick got better and better. HB Fred Jackson is another Blue Bomber that got better later into the season. Jackson helps balance the offense from the backfield, gaining over 1000 yards and averaging a very respectable 4.9 yards per carry. WR Kenny Britt led Winnipeg with 62 catches and a 17.1 yards per catch average. Fellow WR DeSean Jackson's 19.1 average per catch was among the league leaders as Winnipeg continued to stretch opposing defensive secondaries all season long. The Blue Bombers defense finished fifth in the league in sacks. DE Robert Mathis lead the team with 11 sacks while Justin Tuck contributed another eight. OLB Scott Fujita added 7 more for the aggressive Bombers defense. FS Antrel Rolle tied for the league lead with his 7 interceptions. The special teams were just that. Jacoby Ford had two kickoff returns for touchdowns. Punt returners DeSean Jackson and Julian Edelman each had returns for scores. As evidenced by these impressive statistics, the Blue Bombers bring a lot of pressure to opponents in all three phases. Blue Bombers offensive leaders:
