After two picks in the Expansion Draft the Colts hoped they had found their offensive keystones and were anxious to begin the process on the other side of the ball. The other expansion franchises continued to display their drafting expertise as some coveted defensive gems disappeared before Baltimore could grab them. When the Colts did choose I think they found a good one in number 98 Brian Orakpo. Just three years into his career and Orakpo has been selected to two Pro-Bowls. Brian was an All-American Defensive End from Texas and following an impressive display at the NFL Combine was chosen 13th overall by the Washington Redskins. Washington converted Brian to an OLB and the transition has been a successful one. Still growing as a player Orakpo was immediately a pass rushing threat and is working to become a better all around linebacker. As the Colts first defensive player, Baltimore was very happy to be able to add him and hope he has many productive years ahead.
