The Colts close out the third quarter of their Frozen Tundra schedule on a winning note downing the Sun 31-17. Roddy White got loose early connecting with Carson Palmer for a long pass play, setting up Jonathan Stewart for a short T.D. run putting Southern California up 7-0. Baltimore responded with a drive ending on a Joe Flacco scoring toss to tie the game 7-7 after one quarter. The teams traded second quarter touchdowns and a Robbie Gould field goal with :01 left in the half gave SoCal a 17-14 halftime lead. Baltimore started the second half with another touchdown throw from Flacco putting the Colts back in front 21-17. This is where the real ugliness started. In the third and fourth quarters Southern California quarterback Carson Palmer tossed three interceptions and added a fumble on a sack. Despite moving the ball well on offense, several Sun drives ended via the turnover. Baltimore added a touchdown and a field goal but the story of the game was too many turnovers for Southern California to overcome.
